DSEI is the world’s largest gathering of the defence and security community and was able to go ahead in September 2021 with some Covid restrictions in place. The event was held at London’s Excel and we were fortunate to be selected by Thales to create a show stopping stand for them.

Challenge:

• Represent the Thales brand and showcase the different business units in 5 clearly defined zones across the stand
• Optimising the space was key, keeping an open stand where the full space can be viewed, but where visitors are taken on a journey throughout
• Adhering to all covid measures and risk assessments in place for a safe and effective show

Approach

• Multiple scenarios were worked through to ensure the required numbers of people could be accommodated on the stand while adhering to the regulations in place
• Thales branding was placed both high, for visibility across the hall, and at low level, for photo opportunities and brand reinforcement on stand
• The stand was designed at a 45 degree angle to create the biggest impact when entering the hall. Light barriers featured around the open sides to guide visitors to the reception desk. Preventing overcrowding of the stand and ensuring visitors take in the full brand journey
• The floor coverings were designed in areas to build an open path throughout the stand, the colour change in the floor led people on the brand story to each zone without feeling hemmed in. The colour change also provided a visual barrier to keep space between the groups and presenters
• Mixing on screen video presentations with live presenters allowed for better spacing out of visitors and hosts
• The VIP hospitality section at the end was designed to feel like an oasis away from the main stand. Additional brand colours were used to keep the styling in line but differentiated the space.

Background:

• A luxury cruise holiday provider was looking to create a unique futuristic immersive experience on their new flagship vessel.

• Ouno Creative, a full-service creative agency, developed an immersive concept and a visually stunning creative design that met the brief perfectly.

• They reached out to us to use our carpentry knowledge to build the high quality futuristic looking table for their client.

Approach

• Using 3 x 75” screens we provided a seamless touch screen tabletop that could be adapted to facilitate an immersive experience for individuals, large or small groups.
• The table base was built to look sleek and modern but also withstand heavy use, the sectional metal frame was clad and sprayed to give a high gloss finish, with blue and white LED lighting at the base and sides.
• Each screen unit was toughened and scratch proof to withstand any potential damage from spillages or impact.

Challenge:

• To provide a full turn-key hospitality chalet and exhibition space for Thales at the Farnborough Air Show, UK
  To drive and launch a fresh new brand image at their flagship UK event

Approach

• Scheduled initial meetings to digest client brief and objectives thus ensuring absolute clarity and maximising creativity from the word ‘go’
• Held frequent development meetings to ensure seamless creation and high quality build within a short timeframe
• Managed the entire installation including:
  • Created health and safety documentation
  • Installed many utilities including catering areas, bathrooms, dining areas, meeting rooms, exhibition space and demonstration areas, office and also the welcome and reception area. In addition, fully dressed the exterior entrance of the chalet to entice visitors and maximise the visitor experience

Challenge:

• To refurbish a traditional English public house (The Bull, Henley) and attract new customers

Approach

• Reviewed existing environment to create the most effecting use of space to give the customer a new and memorable experience
• Conceptualised a visually pleasing and ergonomic design
• Created a space to maximise visitor flow
• Installed and managed all utilities, including front of house to back of house areas including electrical, plumbing and water, internet and telecoms
• Assisted and collaborated with client on all aspects of the journey from concept through to build and finally completions and evaluation

Background:

• Rovi is a California based leader in digital entertainment technology solutions

Challenge:

• To support rapid expansion into new European markets, principally the UK, France and the Netherlands by exhibiting at major entertainment industry trade shows in Cannes, London and Amsterdam

Approach

• Established trusted partner relationship thus combining creativity, quality construction and logistics skills
• Created show stand concept evoking Rovi’s US heritage; this was based on a New York style apartment
• Manufactured stand using modular elements. Also to a high specification to enable transportation across Europe and longeivity

Challenge:

• To showcase Robert Allen and Beacon Hill textiles at Maison&Objet, Paris, France

Approach

• Designed and installed space to make the textiles and the product the main focus through a stylish interior design
• Effective lighting was a key factor in the design in order to spotlight the fabrics. As was understanding the product and therefore applying this understanding into the finishes, quality and execution

Background:

• Firmly established as a global leader in consumer electronics, Samsung now aim to deliver unsurpassed technology in safety and energy solutions

Challenge:

• To launch new Samsung products to an expectant audience. With on-stand product lines, unconfirmed until the 11th hour, we were tasked with being responsive to design change requests right up until the last minute

Approach

• Created two tier demonstration and hospitality stand to showcase the new products
• This included a walk-around product wall with interactive video to highlight key product features and benefits
• Installed hospitality suites thus creating a relaxed environment in which to explain the company vision to lead the world in energy and safety solutions

Challenge:

• To design and build a bright, clean and fresh environment to showcase the DELL brand and existing and latest education equipment

Approach

• Scheduled frequent meetings with the entire DELL team, covering several business units, to engage and involve all parties exhibiting within the shared space
• Created high impact trade show stand design to exploit its key location at the show. Also to build the masterbrand and support the range of different business units and products
